Marcia Franklin has been a producer and host at Idaho Public Television since 1990. Before working at IdahoPTV, she was a general assignment reporter for KIFI-TV and a production assistant for KQED-TV. Marcia is the producer and host for "Dialogue," as well as a producer for "Outdoor Idaho." She's produced special documentaries, as well as pieces for national public television programs. In her spare time, Marcia likes to read, bike, hike and travel. In 2003, she produced a documentary in Iran. She is a founding board member and past president of the City Club of Boise, a frequent moderator of civic events and was a longtime "Big Sister." Her programs have won numerous awards, including a George Foster Peabody Award, an ABA Silver Gavel Award and several regional Emmy awards. Marcia also serves on The Blue Review's editorial board.
