Douglas H. Constance

Douglas H. Constance is a professor of sociology at Sam Houston State University. He holds a Ph.D. in rural sociology and an M.S. in community development from the University of Missouri – Columbia. His research has focused on the community impacts of the industrialization and globalization of the agrifood system. More recently, he has worked in the area of alternative food systems, especially sustainable and organic agriculture.
