Lantz is currently a first-year student in the Master of Public Administration program at Boise State University. He recently graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology, also from Boise State. Before that, he proudly attended the College of Western Idaho. As an undergraduate student, Lantz focused on human social networks, behavioral ecology, altruism, and life history theory. His current interests include community development, finance, behavioral economics, and nonprofit administration. As an Idaho native, Lantz firmly believes that he has an obligation to serve the Idaho community, and he is working to build both his academic and professional career paths around that goal. Lantz has received Presidential Writing Awards for critical analysis and nonfiction writing at both the College of Western Idaho and at Boise State University. He is proud to have worked for the Boise State Service-Learning Program, helping local nonprofit organizations to develop service projects for students, and working to support a culture of social responsibility at Boise State. He also served the Treasure Valley YMCA as a Fund Development Intern, helping to raise money through fundraising campaigns and grant writing. Lantz recently married his wife Kelly. In their free time, they both enjoy volunteering, exploring Idaho’s landscape, reading, and eating ice cream.
